What’s lurking beneath your keyboard?
If you’re eating your lunch while you’re reading this, first, don’t read on, and secondly stop eating at your desk please!
We’re all guilty of snacking at our desks, but it seems the harmless crumb could be attracting some furry friends to your office at night!
The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) claim mice are ‘dropping in’ and grazing on our leftovers during the night. And where do they find them? On our keyboards!
One London cleaning firm said: 'A woman worker wondered why 'seeds' were coming out of her computer keyboard when she typed.
'She was mystified because she did not eat food at her desk. An investigation showed them to be mice droppings.'
The RSC are calling on employers to adopt a clean workstation policy and have launched a search for Britain's dirtiest qwerty. They plan to publish photographs of the UKs worst offenders on their website.
Our advice? Take a break at lunch from now on!
